He lay still. His breath coming quickly as he peered back down the road at his pursuers in the distance. Then, as a light suddenly approached, he flattened himself close to the ground and stilled his breathing.
Suddenly a shot broke the air and he rose up, starting to run through the woods on his left. Bushes flattened to each side as he pushed past. More shots followed and he became more desperate in his desire to escape, silencing a small cry. He began to run faster, with his breath starting to cloud the still cold air. Skidding amongst the woods, shots began to crash through the branches and thud into trees. A single shot caressed his shoulder and blood began to fall gently to the ground. Finally the following cars began to slow and fall behind and he tried to rest. But he was too tired and huddled crying softly.
Behind him, the hunters began to gather to smoke and talk. They asked after each others wives with photo's produced of their young children. They laughed and joked together, as beer was drank and tales told of previous hunts. Successes exaggerated, failures minimised. The one that got away became the one that they let go. And now the one they had found.
It began to get darker, so they started to drift back towards their cars and rev their engines. Then a cry was let out, from one more observant than the rest, "He's sighted." And they began to hunt again.
Ahead he began to run, slipped, and tumbled helplessly down a bank. For a moment it seemed that his inadvertent fall had saved his life. But then the hunters were there and starting to fire into his bloody body. The hunters left, at last, leaving him to tear at his wounds, ripping and cutting, trying to take the pain away. Finally, one returned, more kind than the rest, and with a single final shot, blew out his brains.
The last wolf was dead.

A romantic comedy - between two women. Jennifer Westfeldt plays Jessica
Stein and Heather Juergensen plays Helen Cooper.
An excellent film showing two women trying to learn what it means to be a lesbian.
Will they - won't they? Neither of them knows what they are supposed to do since
neither is gay although Helen (Heather Juergensen) is bisexual. It becomes clear
that whatever this love will become they are true friends.
Very good dialog and a real chemistry between the two main characters since
the two created their characters for the stage play "Lipschtick" and
are simply resuming them on film.
Helen: What does your therapist say about all of this?
Jessica: Oh, I could never tell my therapist.
Helen: Why not?
Jessica: Because it's private.
